Worf is a Klingon Starfleet security/tactical officer who also previously served as the Federation Ambassador to the Klingon Empire.
Starfleet Career
Worf previously served on the USS Enterprise (NCC-1701-D) as the Security Chief. He later transferred to the USS Enterprise (NCC-1701-E) in the same position.
Alternate Timeline
Captain James T. Kirk was killed at Khitomer which led to a Federation-Klingon War in 2293. During the incident with the Borg that led to the Battle of Wolf 359, Captain Jean-Luc Picard was considered a casualty of the Borg. Worf, under Captain William T. Riker's command, was killed when the Enterprise rammed into the Borg cube in an attempt to stop the Borg from assimilating Earth. The attempt was unsuccessful and the Enterprise was lost with all hands. (HF 2.02 - "Yesterday's Excelsior")
