Toby Witczak was Starfleet officer formerly assigned to the USS Excelsior. He was killed on Stardate 55409 after being captured while serving as an away team member for colony support. ("Great Starship Robbery")
Starfleet Career
Aboard the USS Devonshire
Then-Ensign Witczak was posted to the Devonshire immediately after graduating Starfleet Academy. (HF102, "Enemy Unknown, Part 2") He served in the Engineering Department during the Battle of Lapolis. (HF101, "Enemy Unknown, Part 1") He reported to Captain Knapp that the Devonshire's primary power had been restored after being disabled by an attacking Dominion Heavy Dreadnaught.
Aboard the USS Excelsior
Witczak was promoted to Lieutenant and transferred to the USS Excelsior when she was commissioned in 2377. He served under Robin Lefler as Assistant Chief Engineer until his death on Stardate 55409. His body was unfortunately never recovered, and a memorial marker has been placed on the planet Ba'ku in remembrance of the acts he performed while defending the Ba'ku people.
