Odyssey's newly-formed alliance with the Kelvans threatens to blow wide-open when one of the Kelvan's most revered heroes kidnaps Ro and makes plans to execute him - and Stadi's worst fears are realized when she must accept T'Lorra as the acting Captain of the ship!
But while Stadi begins to form a plan to rescue Nevin, T'Lorra must work with the general who kidnapped him in a daring raid on an Archein training outpost - and Ro must once again face his inner demons when an unusual gift passes into his hands from his captors.

Production Notes
- Heather Ashleigh serves as a stunt double during Stadi's take down of T'Lorra in the Observation Lounge (she's Stadi).
- Originally entitled "Day of the Lanterns," which was to be a prayer spoken by the Kelvans just before death. In subsequent drafts, the religious fervor of the Kelvans was down-played in order to sharpen the contrast between the characters of Tybiss and Melantko.
- Jacob Reitz intentionally altered his performance as Melantko during his visit with Ro Nevin to underscore the supernatural aspects of the situation.
- None of the flashbacks were specifically scripted, merely described as "Ro falls in love with Corey Aster." Director Adam Browne and 1st Assistant Director/Actor JT Tepnapa visualized the sequence during preproduction.
- Tybiss Mallim is loosely based upon the Homeric character Cyclops, whose cave Odysseus found himself trapped within while sailing back to Ithaca.

Memorable Quotes
- Tybiss: There is no need for pleasantries. I have Lt. Commander Ro, I intend to kill him, you hope to stop me.
- Stadi: He's trying to figure us out. What's our angle? What do we want from him? What's it like to have depth perception?
- Tybiss: Ro Nevin strikes me as being too... polite to be a true leader. I sense that you are his driving force, Subcommander T’Lorra. Perhaps it is you I should execute.
- Stadi: At least he considers all the options.
- Tybiss: You are an unremarkable person, Ro Nevin. I know everything about you and there is nothing that impresses me. Your actions belie your inherent cowardice. That is your only saving grace, it seems.
- Stadi: You can't sucker punch a telepath.
