The USS Antietam
The Antietam is an Intrepid-class starship, assigned as a staff vessel to Deep Space 12. The ship is assigned a command crew and officers when required, and has served as a command vessel in various task groups during the multiple conflicts with the Grey, Breen and Tholians.
The ship was also assigned to assist the USS Aldrin, an Olympic-class starship whose terraforming mission had uncovered evidence of a mass grave of Bajorans on Radjic VI ("Grave Matters"). For this mission, its commanding officer was Commander James Darwin, who normally serves as Executive Officer to Admiral Nechayev on Deep Space Twelve.
In the first Tholian-Breen attack on Deep Space Twelve, Commodore Knapp commanded the Antietam while defending the station ("Countermeasures"). Knapp had also previously commanded the vessel in a reconnaissance mission in the McAllister Nebula. ("The Battle is Joined")
