Tren'La Royal Family

Tren'La Royal Family is the term used to denote the biological connection of those recognized as the nobility of Tren'La.

200 years ago, the Tren'La Royal Family considered Tolian Naros a trusted advisor, who opened up trade for them with civilizations outside the Patch. Naros would not share his knowledge of the currents with the Tren'La, as he judged they were not ready for such knowledge at that stage of development. Naros eventually left Tren'La and the Royal Family turned to Siroc for help in securing technology to give them the upper hand in their war with the Grey ("Epitaph", HF).

In 2378, Princess Illiana and her son Aris were able to escape Tren'La while the planet was in an altercation with the Grey ("Refugees", HF). Later that year, Illiana's husband Kaz appeared to assist the Federation, but was really mentally manipulated by the Grey, causing him both mental and physical distress, asking their son Aris to help him to die ("Worst Fears, Part I", HF). Aris now resides in a pocket of space between normal space and fold space created by the Grey's fold drive ("Worst Fears, Part II", HF).
