Security Chief

The Security Chief (or Chief of Security) is the officer in charge of the security division of a Federation starship or starbase.
On starships, this role is often combined with that of the Chief Tactical Officer, which is responsible for the employment of the ship's shields and weaponry (such as phasers and various types of torpedoes).
