Summary
Hidden Frontier Season 5. For five years the Grey have stalked the Federation as Starfleet has plumbed the depths of the mysterious Briar Patch, discovering the powerful and impossibly ancient tetrahedrons. Meanwhile, the inscrutable Tholians have stepped up their own incursions in the Patch, bringing them to the verge of war with the Federation. Season 5 begins with personal and political "Entanglement," as Starfleet uncovers a Grey conspiracy, Commodore Knapp makes an important discovery, and Doctor Henglaar's personal life continues to unravel. Starfleet begins to gauge the "Imminent Danger" posed by the Tholians, and Ensign Barrett faces a profound moral crisis. During their camping trip mission on a world deep in the Patch, Ro, Aster, Zen and Barrett face their "Darkest Night" after confronting the Grey in battle. In "Security Counsel," Lt. McCabe investigates a Federation world so threatened by terrorism it must take drastic measures to protect itself – but at what cost? Meanwhile, Captain Shelby deals with her greatest personal crisis in "Epitaph," while Commander Naros, whose dark past returns to haunt him, discovers the Grey's greatest secret. And in the powerful season finale, "The Battle is Joined," the lines between enemies and allies grow increasingly blurry.
