Risa, also known as the "pleasure planet", is a Class M planet located in a binary star system with two moons located about ninety light years from Earth. It is often the site of Federation conferences and symposiums.
In 2377, the USS Excelsior was en route to the planet for a conference, when it was diverted to find the missing USS Perihelion. (HF 1.05 - "Perihelion") In 2378, Dr Henglaar and Counselor Myra Elbrey went to the planet on leave. While on leave, Henglaar's rare condition shown itself, that he was a late bloomer into puberty. (HF 2.05 "Encke")
