Early Life and Career
Richard Garren was born on Farius Prime in 2345 (Terran Calendar).
The Ariadne Missions
Rick Garren is a skilled, but erratic scientist. Where Jago Merik may have issues with Starfleet, Dr Garren actively detests them, blaming them for everything that is wrong with the galaxy, and few things beside. He has never quite forgiven his adoptive brother, Joseph Garren, for joining Starfleet.
Family and Personal Life
Richard Garren is the adopted brother of Joseph Garren.
Relationships
Doctor Garren rarely passes up an opportunity to criticise Starfleet. While working, he prefers to use "reliable" antique equipment as much as possible, instead of the surplus Starfleet technology that is the norm for the Merchant Service. In addition to his dislike of Starfleet, Rick Garran is determined to one day gain revenge upon Kradek, the man responsible for the murder of his adoptive father.
