The USS Olympus
A Prometheus-class starship, the USS Olympus was capable of Multi-Vector Assault Mode, which enabled the ship to seperate into three warp-capable ships, each equipped with an impressive weaspons array.
The ship had been the previous posting of both Jason Munoz and Jenna McFarland, then an Ensign, who served as Munoz's Conn Officer during his command certification training cruise. During that cruise, the ship encountered a planet caught in a time loop, devised by the Q, which saw the planet assimilated by the Borg every 28 days.
McFarland left Olympus shortly after the successful conclusion of that encounter, having been convinced she would better serve Starfleet on Excelsior. Corey Aster also served aboard Olympus during this incident, having recently graduated the Academy. He remained after both Munoz and McFarland transfered; Aster later transferred to the Nebula-class USS Endeavour, and eventually the Excelsior as well.
The Olympus was destroyed in early 2379 when it was part of a fleet assigned to protect Deep Space 12 from a Grey attack. At the time of her destruction, the Olympus was commanded by Lieutenant Commander Munoz, who had previously served as the Executive Officer of the Excelsior. She was lost with all hands.
