Melantko is the elected president of the Kelvan fleet. He is a deeply spiritual man who does not believe that the violence inflicted upon his people should be returned in acts of vengeance. He represents a more peaceful, "live and let live" sect of the Kelvan population. It is unclear if the peaceful Kelvans represent the majority of the population, however.
