Mackenzie Calhoun is a Xenexian Starfleet command officer.
In 2377, Calhoun held the rank of Captain and he was the commanding officer of the USS Excalibur (NCC-26517). He recommended his executive officer, Commander Elizabeth Shelby, for the same position on the USS Excelsior. He also sent word to Captain Ian Quincy Knapp, the commander of the Excelsior, that Commander Shelby was a "pain in his backside." (HF 1.05 - "Perihelion")
