First Officer Lightoller was the officer on watch at the time of the RMS Titanic's fatal collision in the North Atlantic with an iceberg during its maiden voyage in 1912. Lightoller actually hails from the 29th century; he was aboard Titanic to force her down, in an effort to kill several ancestors of a family who rivals his political faction in his own era. (HF 1.04 - "Two Hours")
Production Note
Though the script for "Two Hours" names Lightoller as Titanic‘s First Officer, the historical Charles Herbert Lightoller was actually Second Officer at the time Titanic sank. He was originally named First Officer but because of the ship's officer reshuffle after Titanic‘s sea trials, Lightoller found himself bumped from First to Second Officer.
