Ketracel-white
Ketracel-white (also known simply as white) is an enzymatic compound used by the Dominion to control Jem'Hadar soldiers. Genetically engineered to be addicted to the substance, Jem'Hadar soldiers also obtain any necessary nutrients from the white, allowing them to function without food or drink.
Without white, the Jem'Hadar suffer combined symptoms of narcotic withdrawel, starvation and dehydration.
Originally manufactured only in the Gamma Quadrant, during the Dominion War, manufacturing facilities were established in the Alpha Quadrant, including one on the Son'a planet Devos II.
