Illiana was a female member of the Tren'La Royal Family. She was the wife of Kaz and the mother of Aris.

In 2378, Illiana took Aris aboard an experimental Fold-ship to search for the Federation during a Grey Confederacy attack on Tren'La. During the battle, she suggested taking the ship to one of Tren'La's perimeter colonies, but Aris insisted on finding the Federation. They were successful in locating Deep Space 12. Illiana offered to give the Federation fold drive technology in exchange for this assistance of a thousand Starfleet vessels, but the Federation Council declined, stating that the Federation did not want want to enter the Briar Patch further at that time. As the Grey commenced an attack on both the station and the planet Ba'ku, Illiana went aboard the USS Excelsior as a tactical advisor. She suggested eliminating the Ethereals aboard the attacking Grey battleship to bring the battle to a successful close for the Federation. She was wounded during the battle. She and Aris accepted the Federation's offer to remain aboard Deep Space 12. (HF 2.01 - "Refugees")
