Ethereal

The Ethereals are the telepathic leaders of the Grey Confederacy. The Ethereals employ "footsoldiers" for physical confrontations. Very little is known about them, and they are rarely seen. They seem to be physically atrophied, with large bulbous heads and glowing eyes atop foreshortened bodies with eight spindly legs. They float in a green mist, indicating either that they have no need for gravity themselves, or telekinetically float themselves around to compensate for their poor physical condition. Notable Incidents

In 2377, a group of Ethereals killed themselves after their battleship was captured by the Federation at a Tzenkethi colony world. (HF 1.06 - "Echoes")

In 2378, a group of Ethereals were killed by the fold drive of a captured Grey wing at the Battle of Ba'ku. With the loss of the Ethereals, the Grey fleet fled the Ba'ku system. (HF 2.02 - "Yesterday's Excelsior") Later that year, they were contacted by Founder in an attempt to secure an alliance between the Grey and the Dominion until the meeting was interrupted by Captain Ian Quincy Knapp. (HF 2.03 - "Old Wound")
