Personal History

Though Elbrey was generally perceived by her crew mates aboard Excelsior as very serious, she actually had a devilish sense of humor. The crew member to whom she revealed this the most wass Henglaar, with whom she shared a special friendship. As the two officers who cared for the crew's mental and physical well-being, they had much in common, and often had only each other to turn to for advice and support. They would also spend time together on the holodeck. (HF 2.01 - "Refugees") Eventually, the friendship between Elbrey and Henglaar developed into a romance (HF 6.02 - "Dancing in the Dark").

Little is known about Elbrey's life prior to joining Starfleet, although while counseling Artim Ibanya, she mentioned that she had worked for her father for three years during her childhood, but advised Artim to avoid a similar experience, implying it was an unhappy one for her. She also told Artim that she "practically had to run away from home" in order to join the Academy. (HF 2.06 - "To The Stars")

Starfleet Career

Starfleet Academy

Elbrey taught General and Tactical Psychology at Starfleet Academy, including telepathic interpretation for non-verbal species. When the Dominion War broke out, Starfleet needed more telepaths in the field. Elbrey chose reassignment aboard the USS Rutledge, as a tactical psychologist with the rank of Lieutenant. (HF 1.02 - "Enemy Unknown, Part 2")

Aboard the USS Rutledge

Aboard the Rutledge when attacked by the Grey, Elbrey was able to protect herself telepathically from the Grey's psionic attack. She was rescued by the Away Team from the Devonshire, which was commanded by Captain Ian Quincy Knapp. (HF 1.01 - "Enemy Unknown, Part 1")

Aboard the USS Excelsior

Elbrey was chosen by Commander Joseph Johns to serve temporarily as his First Officer on the USS Independence. After the Independence went through a time anomaly, Elbrey went with Johns on an away mission to the RMS Titanic to investigate the appearance of futuristic technology on the ocean liner. Elbrey was able to shoot Lightoller, who was about to kill Commander Johns. Elbrey was killed when the Independence self-destructed to destroy Lightoller's timeship. The timeline was restored in the explosion and Elbrey had been left with the impression that the survivors of the Titanic had been relocated in the present time. (HF 1.04 - "Two Hours")

Elbrey went on an away team to the an unknown vessel in a successful effort to free the Excelsior from the effects of an inter-dimensional doorway that was opened by the vessel. (HF 1.05 - "Perihelion")

Elbrey help test out a new Dominion device to help fight against the Ethereals. She was able to successfully test it against Grey battleship. During Knapp's tribunal, she told Knapp that he needs to move on about his brother or else these things will follow him where ever he goes. She, also, testified at his tribunal about Knapp's state of mind. (HF 2.03 - "Old Wound")
