From Hidden Frontier

Earth (or Sol III) is the third planet of the Sol system, the homeworld of Humanity, and the location of the office of the President of the United Federation of Planets. As such, it is the Federation's de facto capital world. It has one natural satellite, Luna.

Geography

Earth has several large oceans, including the Atlantic Ocean.

History

RMS Titanic

In 1912, the ocean liner, RMS Titanic sank with a heavy loss of life after a collision with an iceberg in the Atlantic Ocean. In actuality, the liner was purposely sunk by a time traveler named Lightoller. The Causality and the USS Independence rescued the passengers who were recorded as dead and brought them to the 24th century. (HF 1.04 - "Two Hours")

First Borg Invasion

In 2367, a Borg cube attempted to assimilate Earth, but the USS Enterprise-D was able to destroy the cube. (TNG 3.26 and 4.01 - "Best of Both Worlds") In an alternate timeline where Captain James T. Kirk was killed at Khitomer which led to a war with the Klingon Empire, Earth was "kamikazed" by the Klingons. Eventually, the planet was assimilated by the Borg. (HF 2.02 - "Yesterday's Excelsior")

The Dominion War

In 2375, the Breen attacked Earth and heavily damaged Starfleet Headquarters and San Francisco, including Captain Janice Willcocks' apartment during the latter stages of the Dominion War. The USS Angeles led Earth's defense and destroyed the Breen attackers.

Return to Peace

In 2376, the Angeles and the USS Pathfinder transported personnel to the planet. (ANG 1.01 - "Return to Duty") The entity named "Joe" spent some time on Earth in the city of New Orleans. (ANG 1.02 - "A Little Night Music")
