Former Chief Engineer of the Intrepid, he left the ship shortly before the Intrepid was assigned to the Chiron Colonial Convoy. He is an Orion male, and a very handsome one, who knew this quite well, but was also an incredibly competent engineer and ran engineering with a firm hand. But he was a committed man, and chose to accept a transfer rather than ship out to Chiron, since he didn't want to leave his pregnant wife, an archaeologist on a research outpost. He knew Daniel Hunter from Starfleet Academy, and the two were good friends.
His departure was a blow to Hunter, what with Talath's animosity and Caed's change in personality from her joining.
