The Dominion Heavy Dreadnaught is a type of warship introduced in the Alpha Quadrant midway through the Dominion War, in 2374.

Class History
- On Stardate 51825, the Federation starship USS Valiant conducted a mission to collect technical data on a new battleship operating in their sector. After spending three hours collecting data on the vessel, they determined that it was twice the size of a Galaxy-class starship and three times as powerful, posing "a direct threat to every Federation outpost and colony within fifty light years". Believing they found a weakness in the design of the ship, they engaged the Jem'Hadar vessel and were subsequently destroyed with relative ease by the battleship. (DS9 6.22 - "Valiant")
In 2375, several of these ships participated in the Battle of Lapolis and Battle of Cardassia. After the Battle of Cardassia, they and the other Dominion forces retreated to the orbit of Cardassia Prime to join the defense of that planet. (DS9 7.25 - "What You Leave Behind" and HF 1.01 - "Enemy Unknown, Part 1")
Several of these ships also participated in the defense of Deep Space 12 and the Ba'ku system against a combined Tholian and Breen assault in 2382. (HF 6.01 - "Countermeasures")
