Dan Crout served as Staff Writer on Hidden Frontier in Seasons 2-3 and Season 7.
Dan also played the role of the evil Andorian Sha'kev in the second season episode "Great Starship Robbery".
In the seventh season episode Hearts and Minds, Dan returned to the screen to portray Rufus Donnell, a bitter ex-Starfleet officer aboard the merchant transport ship SS Sheehan. He later assumed the role of Commander William Martinez, former security chief of the USS Excelsior, and now commander of the 2nd Grey Research Facility, when the character reappeared during the last few episodes of Season Seven.
