The Cheyenne-class Starship
The Cheyenne-class explorer is a Federation starship class that was in service during the late 24th Century. The ship is a contemporary of the New Orleans-class frigate and is generally recognized to be a forerunner to the Galaxy and Nebula classes of starship. It is distinctive in its design, have four narrow warp nacelles, one pair above and below a saucer module to which they are connected by large pylons, forming the engineering section of the ship.
Production Notes
The Cheyenne-class starship was only seen once in Star Trek canon, the remains of the USS Ahwahnee in the aftermath of Wolf 359. The ship was subsequently "reconstructed" (data here) and developed into several 3D models. This was used in a number of episodes of Star Trek: Hidden Frontier and its progeny.
