Captain's yacht

The captain's yacht (or captain's gig) is an auxiliary craft, similar to a shuttlecraft or runabout, which is built into the design of several Starfleet ship classes including the Galaxy-class, Intrepid-class and Sovereign-class.

The following are notable instances in which a captain's yacht participated:
