Production Notes

  • There is a continuity issue in this episode. Corey Aster states that his most significant premonition about the Borg was on stardate 53427.9, referring back to the flashback events of "In Memory Of" (HF 3.04). With the release of "Q in the Dark" (ANG 1.04) in October 2009, which served as the basis of the flashback in the later Star Trek: Hidden Frontier episode, it is established that the cruise of the Olympus took place beginning on stardate 53902.4.
  • Rebecca Wood not only played two roles in this episode, but she also served as one of the Assistant Directors.
  • Only this episode and "Piracy of the Noble" were directed by the same person who wrote the episode's teleplay.
  • "Beachhead" features the largest number of speaking roles in a single HF episode.
  • This episode features the first appearance of Sharon Savene (credited as "Sharon Seven") in the role of Theresa Faisal.
