The Bajorans, natives of the planet Bajor, have a long history of culture and spirituality. They achieved warp drive approximately 800 years ago (TNG "Ensign Ro"; DS9 "Explorers"). The Bajorans are now one of over 150 civilizations who comprise the Federation (Star Trek: First Contact).
