Aris is the last living member of the Tren'La Royal Family and he was the son of Kaz and Princess Illiana.

In 2378, he and his mother took the experimental fold-ship in an attempt to contact the Federation during a Grey Confederacy attack on his homeworld of Tren'La. His mother wanted to go to Tren'La's perimeter colonies, but Aris insisted on locating the Federation. Aris and his mother successfully arrived at Deep Space 12 and relayed the story about what was happening at their homeworld. Shortly thereafter, Aris befriended Ensign Artim Ibanya and the two went to the surface of Ba'ku. They discovered a Grey wing. Aris' fold-ship having been destroyed in orbit, they commandeered the vessel and took it towards an ongoing battle between Federation and Grey forces near the station, warning DS12 as they did so. Aris and Ensign Ibanya eventually "folded" the vessel into the center of a Grey battleship, destroying it. (HF 2.01 - "Refugees")
