Alysen Ibanya

From Hidden Frontier

Commander Alysen Ibanya is a native of Ba'ku, who left the protection of that planet's healing rings in order to join Starfleet and explore the galaxy. She serves as first officer aboard the USS Endeavour, and is the mother of Artim, who serves aboard the USS Helena.

Personal History

Not much is known about Alysen Ibanya's early life on Ba'ku, other than she decided to leave the planet to explore the galaxy. Unlike many planets in the Briar Patch, Ba'ku's relative proximity to the edge of the Patch made traveling outside the Patch possible. The desire to leave Ba'ku is taboo among its people, so Artim was told by his father that his mother was killed in a rock slide.

Starfleet Career

Commander Ibanya's ship, the Endeavour, is part of Starfleet's Seventh Fleet, currently assigned to the Cardassian Union as part of the Federation's effort to help Cardassia recover from the devastation of the Dominion War.

She previously served aboard the USS Alliance, as second officer for two years under then-Captain Jennifer Cole, who described her as a "good woman." ("To The Stars")
